Sarah wants to work with everyone in Baltimore County to build a safer community for the people who live here. By modernizing the State’s Attorney’s Office, focusing on crime prevention, and building stronger community ties, we will create a justice system that works for Baltimore County—one that’s fair, effective, and accountable. Together, we can build a safer future for all.
Sarah currently manages a team of prosecutors in investigating and prosecuting corruption across Maryland, holding law enforcement officials, politicians, and even prosecutors accountable when they violate the public trust. Her career has been dedicated to ensuring that everyone—no matter their position of power—faces justice.
Driven by a deep desire to serve her community, Sarah served as a prosecutor at the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted crimes, worked with victims and handled high profile cases. Sarah is committed to delivering justice and protecting the community.
Sarah’s passion for reform led her to Annapolis, where she served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee. There, she helped craft critical legislation to protect victims and fight for justice, particularly for women facing extortion and revenge crimes.
After college, Sarah joined the New York City Police Department’s Counterterrorism Bureau, where she worked on high-stakes terrorism cases both locally and globally.
Beyond the courtroom, Sarah is deeply committed to her community. She organized a volunteer program to help provide mentorship and career services for children in Baltimore City and worked to help incarcerated people achieve college degrees.
As chair of a board supporting domestic violence victims with legal resources and an active leader in the Jewish community, Sarah continues to give back.
She also serves on key legal and policy councils that promote public safety and prevent violence across Maryland.
Sarah is a proud graduate of Pikesville High School and a lifelong resident of Maryland. She grew up in Pikesville, with her father, a professor, her mother, a lawyer, and her two younger sisters.
Sarah has always been committed to her community and volunteered in the Baltimore County community starting at a young age. Sarah studied Japanese language starting in middle school which she continued throughout high school. Sarah grew up playing soccer and lacrosse. Her high school mock trial team was her first introduction to the courtroom, and she volunteers to judge those competitions today.
Sarah’s commitment to Baltimore County continues today. She and her family are committed volunteers to programs that help with food insecurity, veterans, and many other important causes. She is a leader in organizations committed to engagement and commitment to women’s issues in Baltimore County as well as several non-profits and community organizations. Sarah is proud to have her son attending Baltimore County Public Schools and looks forward to her daughter joining him next year.
Sarah’s leadership and service have earned her recognition as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women, a Leader in the Law, and a Leading Woman by the Maryland Daily Record.
She has also been honored with the Fred Walpert and Harry Greenstein community engagement awards and is a recipient of the David L. Boren National Security Scholarship, the Harry S. Truman Scholarship and the George J. Mitchell Scholarship for her lifelong commitment to public service.
Sarah is a proud graduate of Pikesville High School and a lifelong resident of Maryland. After high school, Sarah attended Johns Hopkins University, where she majored in political science and studied Arabic language.
Her passion for global understanding led her to study abroad in Egypt and Morocco, and she was awarded a prestigious George J. Mitchell Scholarship, allowing her to earn a Master’s Degree in Comparative Ethnic Conflict from Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She then worked the the New York City Police Department’s Counterterrorism Division where she served as the primary briefer to the Deputy Commissioner for Counterterrorism and was tasked to the Joint Terrorism Task Force working active terrorism cases throughout the country.
Sarah attended the University of Maryland Law School and later clerked for the Maryland Appellate Court. She then worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Baltimore City and as Chief of Staff to a former Chairman of the Judicial Proceedings Committee in the Maryland General Assembly before continuing her prosecution career tackling public corruption across the State of Maryland.
Sarah lives in Towson with her husband and two young children.
